How do I become a Prolific Shifts Fellow?
“We need to stop just pulling people out of the river.
We need to go upstream and find out why they’re falling in.
Desmond Tutu

There are not enough Black educators and not enough Black leaders in schools (and many other spaces). The Prolific Shifts Fellowship has been created with Black educators at the center of its mission. The fellowship is particularly well-suited for Black educators starting new leadership positions and Black educators new to teaching (or other roles in school environments).
The fellowship seeks to build where efforts at retention have torn down. It also seeks to affirm and cultivate purposeful leadership qualities where Black leaders have been underrepresented and not seen in their fullness and possibility.
The personal and professional growth that will happen in this space will positively transform the educational landscape for Black educators, all students, and institutions for years to come.
